For years people have asked the question, "Is the cup half full? or Is the cup half empty?" The optimist says the cup is half full. The pessimist says that the cup is half empty. In light of what has recently happened in Japan I feel that we can add a new question to this delima, do you still have the cup?
According to the Bible, things of this world are passing away, fleeting, coming to an end. Jesus reminded us to lay up treasures in Heaven, and not here on the earth where they can be destroyed. When everything else is gone, these three things remain, faith, hope and love. The greatest of these is love. Love the people around you today. Remind them of why they are special to you. And, be thankful that you still have the cup.
